You want to make a lot of money don't you I know do. I started a poll in a forum once every single person said they wanted to make a lot of money.
So how are you doing so far
You have probably asked for a raise maybe taken on a second job possibly even looking to do some freelancing in your free time not that you have any. :
Do you realize that the usual ways of making more money comes with a hidden price You will need to give up your time for the extra cash.
I'm guessing that you are working your butt off but you don't complain too much because the money is good. You get to wear nice clothes stay in a big house can even afford a maid.
But in exchange you give your time your passion basically your life. You are always short of time you keep missing your kid's baseball game you are stressed out most of the time all for the pursuit of more money.
But you have some friends that you can't quite fit into this stereotype. They are the same as you in terms of education job financial standing.
However they seem to know a thing or two about balancing their work their life that you don't. & they seem to be doing it very well.
To put in a nutshell they make their money much much easier than you make yours.
Do you wonder why
Well I really can't speak for you or your friends but I think the difference could be your attitude towards money. I might put it simply as:
"You get paid for the amount of work that you do. "
You believe in it they don't.
You look at making money as a barter trade your time for your boss's money.
Put yourself into your friends' shoes what do you think they will do if they are trying to make more money
I am going to bet my bottom dollar that they will be spending even more time on the golf course in their clubs going on even more holidays. They are definitely enjoying life but at the same time they are expanding their horizons looking for new ideas making new friends building contacts setting up joint ventures.
You need to come to terms with the fact that it not about how many hours you work but about the results that you produce.
So stop exchanging you time talent for a good income start looking to see how you can effectively leverage them to make you rich.
